Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa and Secrets Huatulco Debut;
Highlight Upcoming Year Following Successful 2010

PHILADELPHIA, PA March 26, 2011 — AMResorts, provider of sales, marketing and brand management services for Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, and Secrets, Dreams and Now Resorts & Spas, forecasts an exciting 2011 with a brand introduction, entry into new destinations, resort openings and the continued expansion of its diverse portfolio.

In November, AMResorts will relaunch the Sunscape Resorts & Spas brand with the opening of Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa – its first resort in this popular Mexico destination. The Sunscape brand will offer families, friends and singles an Unlimited-Fun® experience – a new vacation concept from the award-winning company. Ixtapa will become the seventh Mexico destination to have an AMResorts property, demonstrating its success and confidence in this market.

This summer, Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa will debut to become Secrets’ first foray into the Mexico Pacific coast. In addition, AMResorts has two developments underway in Puerto Vallarta, Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta and Now Amber Puerto Vallarta, set to open in 2012. These planned resorts underscore a strong commitment to the Mexico market, which is home to approximately two-thirds of AMResorts’ current portfolio.

In the Caribbean, AMResorts will debut two new Punta Cana properties in May 2011: Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana and Now Larimar Punta Cana.

AMResorts closed 2010 with 22 resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, inclusive of more than 8,000 rooms, employing 11,520 staff and generating over $425 million in annual sales. The past year also saw the introduction of a new resort brand, Now Resorts & Spas, entry into new destinations, five property openings, the receipt of over 75 industry and guest awards – including the seventh consecutive AAA Five Diamond Award for Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya – and the announcement of the company’s largest development project to-date, Gems at Cap Cana. The $400 million development is comprised of Zoëtry Gems at Cap Cana, Secrets Gems at Cap Cana, Now Emerald Cap Cana and Now Pearl Cap Cana.

AMResorts will see the opening of several Mexico properties in 2011, in addition to the continued development of two additional projects. Highlights include:

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa
As the first property opening under the Sunscape brand, Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa will welcome its first guests this November.
The oceanfront, Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa will treat families, friends and singles to its Unlimited-Fun® vacation concept. Unlimited-Fun® means everything is included - spacious rooms and suites with private terraces and fabulous views, an array of specialty themed dining options and bars serving premium domestic and international beverages, an Explorer’s Club for kids, and endless day and evening activities, all in spectacular settings.

Located in the heart of the beautiful beach town of Ixtapa on Mexico's popular Pacific coast, the oceanfront Sunscape Dorado Pacifico Ixtapa will treat guests to 285 spacious rooms and suites with private terraces and remarkable views of Palmar Bay. Six international restaurants and three bars will delight guests with regional and international cuisine and unlimited premium beverages, while two pools, including a main pool with two waterslides and a swim-up bar, and a vast array of day and evening activities will provide many options to entertain. All is included in the Unlimited-Fun® vacation concept.

Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa
Opening this summer, the adults-only Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa is set on Conejos Bay, with its golden sand, beautiful rock formations and sapphire waters. Featuring 399 suites all with spectacular ocean views, furnished balconies and patios – some including Jacuzzis or swim-out pool access - dual vanity bathrooms replete with a separate shower and Jacuzzi tub, and a collection of other luxurious in-room amenities, all Secrets Huatulco guests will enjoy the Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept.

Including limitless food and beverages at eight gourmet reservation-free restaurants and six bars and lounges, a wide array of daytime and evening activities, and 24-hour room and concierge service, Unlimited-Luxury® lets couples relax in Secrets’ romantic settings to reconnect with each other. Guests will also have access to the resort’s Secrets Spa by Pevonia in addition to all facilities at nearby Dreams Huatulco Resort & Spa.

Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta and Now Amber Puerto Vallarta
Scheduled to open in summer 2012, the $150 million USD project introduces the first Secrets and Now Resorts & Spas properties to the popular destination. The 602-room two-resort complex represents Puerto Vallarta’s first new construction hotels in almost a decade, and each will feature AMResorts’ Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept.

Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta, which will be a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, will offer adults an extra measure of romance and sensuality in a beautiful beachfront setting. Guests will be welcomed by 271 elegantly-appointed rooms and suites with 24-hour concierge and room services; multiple gourmet, a la carte restaurants and lounges serving premium beverages; endless day and evening activities; and full-service spa and fitness facilities.

With 331 oversized guest rooms and suites with ocean views and private terraces, Now Amber Puerto Vallarta will cater to couples, friends and families. The resort offers amenities such as wireless internet access, flat screen TVs with surround sound systems, daily refreshed mini bars, 24-hour room and concierge services, multiple gourmet dining offerings and full-service spa and fitness facilities. The resort will foster a sense of understated luxury and comfort, and has received the Amber gemstone symbol as a reflection of the inviting rich sands along Banderas Bay.

 

Additional 2011 Openings

Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana and Now Larimar Punta Cana will officially open their doors on May 1, 2011, joining the company’s five other resorts in the destination. Now Larimar represents AMResorts’ introduction of the recently launched brand to the Caribbean island.

Secrets Royal Beach Punta Cana
Located a short 30 minutes from the Punta Cana International airport, this adults-only resort sits on 700 yards of picturesque palm-studded, white sandy beach. All 373 rooms feature a Jacuzzi on the terrace and are designed in a subtle contemporary style that blends smoothly with the vivid Caribbean colors. Guests have access to a variety of daytime and evening activities including land and water sports, daily special events such as movies on the beach and dance classes, and nightly shows and entertainment. The resort features three restaurants and five bars. Additionally, guests can enjoy reciprocal dining privileges at Now Larimar Punta Cana, expanding their dining options to include 10 restaurants and 14 bars.

Offering stunning ocean views, white sand beaches and lush gardens, the resort boasts 642 spacious rooms and suites. In addition to offering seven restaurants and nine bars, Now Larimar also includes signature amenities such as a bowling center and an open-air nightclub and lounge with swimming pool. Families with children will appreciate the resort’s signature Explorers’ Club, which caters exclusively to younger guests’ ages 3-12 with dedicated facilities and fully-supervised activities, and adults can relax with array of onsite daytime and evening activities. Preferred Club level accommodations and amenities also are available featuring three separate preferred private lounges and check-in area, daily continental breakfast in the lounges, afternoon hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, free internet access in suite, and upgraded mini bar service and bath amenities.

In addition, the properties share a full service spa and a 9,040 square feet convention center. Guests also have close access to four golf courses including the Cocotal Golf & Country Club, designed by six-time Spanish Champion Jose “Pepe” Gancedo. Wedding services and honeymoon packages also will be available.


2010 in Review

Last year kicked-off with the January debut of the Now Resorts & Spas brand and the opening of Now Jade Riviera Cancun, followed by Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun in May. Now’s signature brand mission to Live in the Moment, is fresh, fun and cheerful catering to couples, friends and families with desirable locations, elegant accommodations, stunning ocean views and first-class amenities and services inclusive of the Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept. The unique personality of each resort is matched by the names of precious stones.

AMResorts’ first property in the Dominican Republic’s luxurious Cap Cana development, Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana also opened in January 2010 to become the award-winning brand’s first resort outside of Mexico. The 175-suite, five-star luxury resort offers the largest selection of suite types of any hotel in the destination. Ranging from 72 Ocean View Junior Suites to the grand 5,550 sq. ft. Island Suite situated on its own private island, Secrets Sanctuary treats every guest to a consummate Unlimited-Luxury® vacation experience. The property also unveiled a new 20,000 square foot, Secrets Spa by Pevonia in January 2011.

The company celebrated its Jamaica debut with the opening of a two-resort, $180 million project. Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay opened in March and sister property Secrets St. James Montego Bay in April. Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay is reflective of the cultural roots and tropical beauty of Jamaica, and Secrets St. James Montego Bay honors Jamaica’s history with stunning British Colonial-style architecture. The project infused $100 million into the local Jamaica economy, created almost 1,000 jobs and introduced the Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept to the popular destination.

Additionally, Dreams Resorts & Spas announced a new destination for the AMResorts portfolio, Costa Rica. The 400-suite resort will open in 2013 in the Santa Elena region, north of Papagayo.
