New Brand and Destination Introductions, Five Property Openings and Announcement of $400 Million Cap Cana Development Highlight Year

PHILADELPHIA, PA — January 19, 2011 — AMResorts, provider of sales, marketing and brand management services for Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts, and Secrets, Dreams and Now Resorts & Spas, celebrated a successful 2010 which saw the introduction of a new resort brand, entry into new destinations, five property openings, the receipt of over 75 industry and guest awards, and the announcement of the company’s largest development project to-date.

AMResorts closed the year with 22 resorts in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, inclusive of more than 8,000 rooms, employing 11,520 staff and generating over $425 million in annual sales.

Contributing largely to the projected company growth will be the Gems at Cap Cana, AMResorts’ most significant development project to-date. Announced this past April, the four-resort $400 million complex located in Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, will be comprised of Zoëtry Gems at Cap Cana, Secrets Gems at Cap Cana, Now Emerald Cap Cana and Now Pearl Cap Cana. The new development will offer a combined 1,100 suites and create 6,000 new jobs.

Year in Review

2010 kicked-off with the continued expansion of the Secrets Resorts & Spa brand and the debut of AMResorts’ first property in the Dominican Republic’s luxurious Cap Cana development. Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana opened on January 1, 2010 to become the award-winning brand’s first resort outside of Mexico. The 175-suite, five-star luxury resort offers the largest selection of suite types of any hotel in the destination. Ranging from 72 Ocean View Junior Suites to the grand 5,550 sq. ft. Island Suite situated on its own private island, Secrets Sanctuary treats every guest to a consummate Unlimited-Luxury® vacation experience. The property also unveiled a new 20,000 square foot, Secrets Spa by Pevonia in January 2011.

In addition, the Now Resorts & Spas brand was introduced to agents and consumers in January 2010 with the opening of Now Jade Riviera Cancun, followed by Now Sapphire Riviera Cancun in May. Now’s signature vacation concept to, Live in the Moment, is fresh, fun and cheerful catering to couples, friends and families with desirable locations, elegant accommodations, stunning ocean views and first-class amenities and services inclusive of the Unlimited-Luxury® experience. The unique personality of each resort will be matched by the names of precious stones. AMResorts is currently evaluating new destinations for the brand and will welcome new properties in Puerto Vallarta, Punta Cana and Cap Cana.

AMResorts also celebrated the company’s Jamaica debut with the opening of a two-resort, $180 million project. Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay opened in March and sister property Secrets St. James Montego Bay in April. Secrets Wild Orchid Montego Bay is reflective of the cultural roots and tropical beauty of Jamaica and Secrets St. James Montego Bay honors Jamaica’s history with stunning British Colonial-style architecture. The project infused $100 million into the local Jamaica economy, created almost 1,000 jobs and introduced the Unlimited-Luxury® vacation concept to the popular destination.

Each resort features 350 suites; Secrets Resorts & Spas’ Unlimited-Luxury® program; eight gourmet á la carte dining options and one international buffet; nine chic bars and lounges; a 15,000 square foot Secrets Spa by Pevonia; 16,000 square-feet of meeting space for business conventions and weddings; Seawind Beach Club; and The Promenade, AMResorts’ first shared facility between two resorts offering a host of exciting activities, boutiques, and entertainment and dining options centered around a main plaza.

The year also saw great recognition for AMResorts’ Zoëtry Wellness & Spa Resorts brand, as Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya received the AAA Five Diamond award, the seventh consecutive year the property has been awarded this coveted distinction. This complemented more than 75 other industry and guest awards AMResorts’ portfolio of properties received in 2010. Additionally, Dreams Resorts & Spas announced a new destination for the AMResorts portfolio, Costa Rica. The 400-suite resort will open in the Santa Elena region, north of Papagayo.

Looking forward, in addition to the Costa Rica property, AMResorts will continue its expansion, as the company will be introducing the 339-suite Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa in May 2011. Secrets Vallarta Bay Puerto Vallarta and Now Amber Puerto Vallarta will debut in Summer 2012, followed by the Gems at Cap Cana complex, and Now Larimar Punta Cana.
