Apple Leisure Group Closes Milestone Year with 17 New Resort Deals, Increasing Brand Management Portfolio to 20,000 Rooms

Company Continues Growth of Sunscape® Resort & Spas Brand with Addition of Sunscape Dominican Beach Punta Cana and Sunscape Bávaro Beach Punta Cana

PHILADELPHIA, PA (Dec. 8, 2015) — Apple Leisure Group®’s subsidiary, AMResorts®, reported its best year ever with 17 new resort management contracts announced over the past 11 months. With the addition of Sunscape® Dominican Beach Punta Cana and Sunscape® Bávaro Beach Punta Cana, AMResorts will have nearly 60 resorts in 26 destinations and more than 20,000 rooms throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America by the end of 2018.

In 2015, AMResorts and its six award-winning brands added seven destinations to its portfolio, breaking company and industry records for the most deals incorporated by a single hotel chain in the Caribbean and Central American region in under a year.

Sunscape Resort & Spas Expansion
Situated on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic, Sunscape Dominican Beach Punta Cana and Sunscape Bávaro Beach Punta Cana are located within 30 minutes of Punta Cana International Airport and only 45 minutes away from the stunning destination of La Romana. Located on the breathtaking El Cortecito beach, Sunscape Dominican Beach Punta Cana will boast 297 rooms, and Sunscape Bávaro Beach Punta Cana will consist of 452 guest rooms. The resorts are expected to open in December 2016.

Resort guests will enjoy Sunscape Resorts & Spas’ signature Unlimited-Fun® vacation concept, where everything is included: accommodations catering to families with connecting rooms and in-room children’s amenities, a limitless food and beverage program including nine dining options and eight bars, an Explorer’s Club for kids with dedicated facilities, daily entertainment, world-class spa facilities, and more.
